About the Role

Prestage is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to fill a critical position in our operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and other mechanical components to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues in diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug maintenance, to extend the lifespan of our equipment.
  • Collaborate with our maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and risk management within our organization.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other specialized equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
