Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View. As a key member of our Instrument Room team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilization and instrument preparation for our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sterilization and Instrument Preparation: Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and prepared for use in surgical procedures.
  • Instrument Room Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Instrument Room team, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the department.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with USPI's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with surgical teams, nurses, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • Experience: 2 years' Instrument Room Technician experience preferred
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
