Salary
$85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Professional to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns on our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in postpartum and neonatal care, with a strong focus on patient assessment, education, and emotional support. This role involves assessing patients, planning individualized care, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • Nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • At least one year perinatal experience preferred
  • NRP certification within six months of hire
  • ACLS certification or agreement to obtain within six months of hire

Performance Standards
The Nursing Professional will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
  1. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame
  2. Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes
  3. Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population
  4. Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas
  5. Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  6. Document accurately and timely
  7. Reassess patient condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner
  8. Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirements, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition
  9. Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family
  10. Maintain position-specific qualifications and attend mandatory in-services/staff meetings
  11. Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications, unit duties, and special assignments
  12. Maintain personal appearance in a way that reflects professionalism and demonstrates cleanliness, orderliness, and safety
