Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the comprehensive upkeep and repair of all educational facilities and associated equipment. This role involves maintaining both the interior and exterior environments, conducting routine maintenance on mechanical systems, and documenting all maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance of educational facilities and equipment.
  • Perform basic repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Conduct internal cleaning duties to ensure the facility's overall hygiene.
  • Manage external cleaning tasks, including lawn care and snow removal as necessary.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
  • Handle occasional errands outside the facility.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a personal professional growth plan to promote continuous improvement.
Qualifications

High School Diploma is required.

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role is necessary.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility, maturity, and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is mandatory.
  • Health screening clearance is required.
