Job Summary

Cohen & Company is seeking a Tax Senior Manager or Managing Director with expertise in REITs, Private Equity Real Estate Funds, and Private Developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to client service.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for growth of the firm's REIT services, including identifying market trends and developing go-to-market plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal partners, and external industry groups.
  • Provide technical leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring high-quality work and exceptional service.
  • Work with private equity real estate funds on entity structure, waterfall calculations, and 704(b) and 704(c) issues.
  • Collaborate with private developers on tax strategy, succession planning, and acquisition/divestiture planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and CPA or JD certification.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting firm, with leadership experience and a record of accomplishment.
