Position: Syndicated Loan Operations Analyst

DESCRIPTION

The Syndicated Loan Operations Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders including Front Office, Legal, and both internal and external clients. This role involves scrutinizing, assessing, and interpreting financial records to generate reports and provide guidance to management. The analyst is responsible for establishing deals and ensuring they are funded appropriately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate teamwork across multiple departments to accurately interpret loan agreements for the seamless processing of new transactions.
  • Oversee the coordination of principal and fee-related closing payments.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is collected prior to deal closure while liaising with Transaction Coordinators and other partners.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize a portfolio of assigned transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile exception reports concerning recently finalized transactions.
  • Evaluate modifications made to existing contracts and/or deal structure attributes, communicating any changes to account managers.
  • Deliver precise data consistently while maintaining a minimal quality control error rate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of experience in syndicated or commercial lending.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written communication and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Loan IQ.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and documentation standards.
  • Exceptional time-management and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on risk management.
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, collaborating across the organization to resolve issues.
