Vice President of Facilities Management

The Vice President of Facilities Operations participates in a management team for the district, overseeing overall planning, direction, evaluation, and control of units to achieve operational and financial goals. This role provides guidance and motivation to Regional Directors and other Managers, as well as establishing effective customer/client rapport with hospital clients in the Plant Operations Division.
Responsibilities include:
- Being well-versed in all aspects of Facilities Management with a proven track record of success.
- Possessing strong strategic thinking skills, with an emphasis on delivering and measuring action plans.
- Interacting professionally with diverse groups of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers.
- Embracing excellence in customer service for internal and external customers, with excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrating initiative and good judgment in assisting customers, clients, peers, and subordinates.
- Thinking quickly and accurately, evaluating problems, and making appropriate recommendations to involved parties.
- Managing all accounts within a region to ensure compliance with government and agency standards and profitability.
- Maintaining compliance with Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory business appointments.
This role also involves attending committee meetings to understand client needs and ensuring consistent and fair administration of personnel policies. Additionally, managing planning, budget analysis, and reporting for the Region, conducting quarterly business reviews and site visit reports, and conducting regional director audits twice a year at each client hospital site are key responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering highly preferred; bachelor's degree required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Ten years of Multi Unit experience in Facilities Management in an acute care hospital, required.
- Experience in P&L management.
- Union experience preferred.
- Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations, with the ability to interpret and implement.
- Contract-managed service experience, preferred.
