About the Role

The City of Bellingham is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to lead our park crew as a Park Crew Leader - Seasonal. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving our parks and trails, working closely with our Parks and Recreation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a crew of two to three people in trail maintenance and construction
  • Transport crew members to job sites and provide on-site instruction
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, shoveling, and raking
  • Operate a variety of shop and portable power tools

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in trail work or a related field
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with City staff and the public
