About the Position

The Parris Foundation is seeking a skilled and experienced Program Director to oversee the TRIO Upward Bound Program. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged students and has a strong background in program management, staff supervision, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Oversight
    • Oversee the development and implementation of the TRIO Upbound Plan of Operation, ensuring alignment with federal guidelines and objectives.
    • Coordinate all project programming, including recruitment, outreach activities, promotional materials, program management, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Staff Guidance and Development
    • Guide and develop program staff on project management and leadership skills.
    • Maintain punctual time and attendance of program staff and monitor/approve time and effort.
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including The Parris Foundation, Houston Community College, Fort Bend ISD, and community members.
    • Educate school administrators on program services through presentations and collaborations.
  • Grant Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with all federal grant regulations and legislation.
    • Assist in the coordination of data collection, analysis, and reporting, including submission of an annual performance report.

Requirements:

  • Education
    • Master's degree in business administration, education, counseling, public administration, or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of three to five years of experience in staff supervision, budget management, program development, and evaluation, with a focus on reporting and compliance with federal regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Program Experience
    • Minimum of two to three years of experience with federal TRiO programs, academic support programs, or similar programs for disadvantaged students.
  • Bilingual

Work Environment:

  • Primary Work Location: Works in a climate-controlled office/school environment.
  • Requires reliable transportation for daily travel to target school sites.
