Job Summary

As a key member of our Compass Group Careers team, the Warehouse Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and delivery services. This role involves receiving, picking, pulling, and loading materials in a safe and efficient manner, as well as driving company vehicles to transport products and supplies to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Withdraws merchandise and supplies from the warehouse, verifying loads against products ordered and preparing delivery tickets or shipping papers as needed.
  • Loads products, supplies, mail, and cash onto vehicles, drives to designated locations, unloads trucks, and distributes delivered items as instructed.
  • Collects empty containers and unsold merchandise for return to the warehouse and/or disposal.
  • Monitors product usage, makes adjustments to control inventory turns, and ensures proper handling of perishable products.
  • Maintains security of cash and property by locking unattended vehicles, securing funds in a locked safe, and securing keys and vehicles at the end of each shift.
  • Unloads and cleans trash from vehicles, performs daily vehicle operative checks, maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations, and reports vehicle problems.
  • Performs the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
Requirements
  • Must have experience with forklifts and power jacks.
  • Valid driver's license required based on vehicle to be used according to state or federal requirements.
