Literacy Coach

Join our team at Choice Schools Associates as an Internal Interventionist Coach, where you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of students at Battle Creek Montessori Academy.

We are seeking a highly organized and effective communicator to serve as an Internal Interventionist Coach. In this role, you will provide literacy and math support and oversight to Americorps Interventionists, upholding the Americorps model and acting as a liaison between school staff, the interventionists, and program staff.

• Provide on-site orientation for Interventionists, introducing them to the site and developing a consistent weekly schedule.
• Support Interventionists in developing professionally throughout the year, including inviting them to participate in professional development opportunities.
• Complete twice-monthly intervention integrity checklists, providing feedback to Interventionists and submitting checklists to Americorps Coaching Specialists.
• Manage, analyze, and utilize student data to ensure interventions are matched to student need, carried out with fidelity, and intensified based on data.
• Ensure research-based materials and interventions are used at all tiers.
• Support protocols for intervention referral processes and participate in the assigned school's MTSS reading team's monthly meetings.
• Contribute to the child study process within each academy.

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Successful experience as an interventionist, aide, or teacher.
• Effective communicator in both oral and written form.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adept at establishing and maintaining good rapport and working relationships at all organizational levels.
• Highly organized.
