About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for and assisting with interventional procedures in collaboration with interventional radiologists and nursing staff. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology information systems and the ability to operate complex imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
  • Experience in interventional radiology
