Job Summary

CYNWAVE Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to oversee and manage the transportation operations at our facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations: Oversee the daily maintenance of vehicles in the fleet, conduct vehicle inspections, and assign vehicle repair and maintenance duties.
  • Logistics Management: Monitor driver qualifications and training, inspect loads, and prevent overloading.
  • Record Keeping: Keep and transmit complete and accurate records for each vehicle in the fleet, and for cargo transported.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least five years of supervisory experience in transportation and logistics, with a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge: Good working knowledge of transportation systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Skills: Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics, transportation, or business administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Several years' experience in and with military transportation and logistics systems at the Brigade or above levels.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of all areas of military transportation to include Personal Property shipments and entitlements, non-Tactical vehicle management, GSA lease procedures, freight operations, and deployment support.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
