About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide surgical care to patients to facilitate safe and effective completion of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the operating room environment is safe and that equipment functions properly.
  • Utilize and maintain current knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive and therapeutic procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a surgical technology program accredited through the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology (ARC-ST).
  • A minimum of six months of experience in a Cardiac Operating Room, with a focus on surgical technology.
  • Registration with the State of Washington as a Surgical Technician (if classified as Surgical Technician).
  • Current certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists (if classified as Surgical Technician, Certified).
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
