Position Title: Veterinary Technology Instructor

White Mountains Community College is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of adjunct instructor in the Veterinary Technology program. This position involves teaching on a course-by-course basis and requires a robust academic foundation.

Role Overview:

The selected instructor will be tasked with the preparation and delivery of two 3-hour laboratory sessions each week, focusing on Clinical Pathology within the veterinary technology curriculum. Key topics include hematology, parasitology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis. Collaboration with the lead instructor for lab preparation is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to departmental guidelines and utilize the college's Learning Management System (LMS) for instructional purposes.
  • Participate in training sessions for student skill assessments.
  • Engage in both in-person and online teaching as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM); Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology from a CVTEA-AVMA accredited program; or a Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of five years of experience as a veterinary technician.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience for DVM or AS holders; five years for BS degree holders.

Licensure: Must be a licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician, with a preference for graduates from AVMA accredited programs.

Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $750 to $900 per contact hour, or $47.00 to $58.30 per clinical hour, depending on rank and experience.
