Substation Superintendent

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Substation Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Power Delivery District. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of transmission and substation projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and develop junior superintendents to achieve their full potential
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain excellent client relationships
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review and approve change orders, and negotiate with clients as needed
• Develop and implement plans for project completion and turnover
• Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for direct reports

Requirements:

• 8+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a superintendent or leadership role
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to quickly learn and understand Kiewit's policies, procedures, and software programs
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
