About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a PACU Coordinator at Tallahassee Outpatient Surgery Center. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/BSN
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery
  • Additional specialty experience may be required as per facility practices (i.e. Pediatric, GI, etc)
  • Online certification not acceptable
  • ACLS, PALS, and/or other certifications as required for patient care area and by facility
