Professional Truck Operator

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To guarantee the secure and effective delivery of agricultural products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and document findings accordingly.
- Notify management of any maintenance concerns and arrange for necessary repairs.
- Accurately complete and submit all required logs and transportation documentation promptly.
- Safely pick up and deliver goods in an efficient manner.
- Adhere to all local and federal traffic laws.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, both inside and out, including post-load cleaning of the trailer.
- Communicate with suppliers and supervisors regarding potential delays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver.
- Must successfully pass the DOT mandated physical and drug screening.
- Maintain a valid Class A CDL and Medical Card.
- Willingness to work extended hours during busy seasons.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with others.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment and tools is preferred.
- A background in agriculture is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, rail cars, stairs, and bins.
- May be required to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to operate in grain dust and adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to fulfill all physical demands of the role.
