Experience Requirements:
Proficiency in any of the following
Aircraft Mechanical Systems:
Powerplant, Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Doors, Hydraulic Components or Lines, Environmental Control Systems, Fuel, Oxygen, Water & Waste, Flight Deck & Furnishings.
Experience with multiple systems is advantageous.Candidates should demonstrate a strong willingness to expand their knowledge across various systems.
Experience in MRB or extensive troubleshooting of mechanical systems is essential.
Education and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience that enables the candidate to effectively perform the essential functions of the role.
5 years in a specific technical discipline or 10 years of broad engineering experience across several technical disciplines with a Bachelor's degree.
Experience credit for related advanced degrees is limited to 2 years for a Master's and 4 years for a PhD in relevant fields.
Position Purpose: Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of design, analysis, and liaison engineering to facilitate the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.
Job Description Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Contributes to the planning, development, and coordination of significant engineering projects.
Provides specialized technical support to team members.
Employs advanced techniques and modified extensions of theories to deliver technical solutions to a variety of complex challenges.
Determines and formulates own approach to solutions while adhering to schedule and budget constraints.
Works with limited supervision; tasks should primarily be reviewed for accuracy and alignment with overall objectives.
Acts as a liaison with external representatives outside of the assigned group/area.Additional Functions:
Proactively seeks to enhance daily processes and ensures all work complies with customer specifications.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of advancements in the field of specialty and/or related aircraft domains to propose innovations that enhance the quality and effectiveness of company offerings.
Performs other assigned duties as necessary.Other Requirements:
Advanced degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.
The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
