Veterinary Surgeon in Animal Welfare

We are seeking a highly skilled veterinarian to join our team at the Hawaiian Humane Society, where you will be responsible for performing high-volume spay/neuter surgeries and other surgical procedures as needed.
About Our TeamOur team of veterinarians and support staff are dedicated to providing compassionate care to animals in need. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive work environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will perform spay/neuter surgeries on owned animals and TNRM cats each working day, as well as other surgical procedures as needed. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain DEA license.
- 2+ years' experience practicing veterinary medicine in a full-service, high-surgical-volume environment.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience. The Hawaiian Humane Society offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
