Seneca Foods Corporation, a leading provider of packaged fruits and vegetables, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of forklifts and the ability to read and write in English. Previous forklift experience is helpful but not necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of electric or gas-powered forklifts to and from various departments, unloading, loading, transferring, and stacking brite or finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc.

The Warehouse Associate will interpret shipping orders or receiving reports to determine items to be (un)loaded, check product for quality, and proper shipping information. Daily inspection of the vehicle before operating, correcting any low fluid levels, is also required. Track, input, change, and update data of inventory, and ensure that GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules, and regulations are being followed and enforced. Maintaining general housekeeping is also an essential part of this role.

The successful candidate will have good written and oral communication skills, requires good judgment, and decision-making skills. Ability to stack and unstack pallets of products in rows, and up to 5 high, is a must. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.50 to $31.50 per hour, based on skills, abilities, and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Unload, load, transfer, and stack brite or finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc.

  • Check product for quality, and proper shipping information.

  • Comply with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks.
  • Ensure that GMP's (General Manufacturing Practices), safety rules, and regulations are being followed and enforced.

Qualifications:
