Job Summary

MJ CARE INC is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional educational services to children with exceptional educational needs. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, and implementing a school-based speech-language pathology program that meets the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans to meet the needs of students with exceptional educational needs.
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of speech-language therapy services into the educational setting.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses in speech and language skills.
    • Develop and implement evaluation plans to measure student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that speech-language therapy services are aligned with educational goals.
    • Collaborate with the Individual Education Program (IEP) team to develop and implement IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, including daily documentation, Medicaid billing logs, and quarterly and annual progress reports.
    • Submit reports and records as required by MJ CARE INC and the school district.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
    • Current Department of Public Instruction license in good standing required for Wisconsin positions.
    • Current Illinois State Board of Education license in good standing required for Illinois positions.
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1+ year of experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and billing software.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
