Baylor Scott & White Health is a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Senior Medical Dosimetrist to join its radiation oncology team.

About the Role

This senior position will be responsible for generating radiation dose distributions and calculations, working closely with medical physicists and radiation oncologists to create optimal treatment plans for cancer patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical dosimetry, excellent mathematical skills, and experience in using computerized treatment planning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement complex treatment plans, taking into account dose-limiting structures and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the medical physics team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of radiation treatments.
  • Mentor junior dosimetrists, physics residents, and students in medical dosimetry.
  • Contribute to clinical research and development of new techniques in cancer treatment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification from the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
  • At least 3 years of experience in medical dosimetry, preferably in a radiation oncology setting.
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
