Job Title: Janitor / Custodian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Custodian to join our team at Malace|HR. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restrooms, drinking faucets, breakrooms, and other areas.
  • Operate scrubber and floor machines to clean floors and other surfaces.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including dusting, polishing, and cleaning fixtures and furniture.
  • Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodian, hotel, and hospital cleaning preferred, but not required.
  • Frequent lifting of items and ability to stand/walk for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
