Job Summary
The Perinatal Program Manager at Baptist Health System facilitates and implements the hospital's Perinatal Program Plan to align with the hospital-specific and system Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives as defined in the Texas Administrative Code for Hospital Level of Care Perinatal Designation. The Perinatal Program Manager regularly and actively participates in perinatal care at the hospital where program manager services are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the hospital's Perinatal Program Plan to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve perinatal care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and healthcare providers to promote perinatal care services.
- Provide education and training to staff on perinatal care best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in perinatal bedside nursing, with 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Certifications/Licenses: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse, BLS, and NRP certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing, specialty or administration certification, and experience in a leadership role.
