Caregiver/6 Night Shift Job Description

Job Summary:

Lakeshore Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/6 to join our team. As a Caregiver/6, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort and assist residents to and from their rooms, dining areas, and activities.
  • Assist with dressing and undressing residents.
  • Assist with bathing residents in the tub or shower.
  • Provide hair care, nail care, and oral care as needed.
  • Assist ambulatory residents with walking.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of resident care and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with medical offices and pharmacies regarding resident care and changes.
  • Manage resident medication assistance in our Electronic Medication System.

Clinical/Technical Duties:

  • Supervise and monitor patients to ensure their safety and well-being, adhering to applicable patient care policies and procedures.
  • Report any noted changes in resident condition.
  • Accurately document all care provided and supplies used.
  • Take and record vital signs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with resident medication assistance guidelines.

Resident Services and Satisfaction:

  • Understand and respect residents' rights, maintaining their comfort, privacy, and dignity.
  • Interact with residents and their families in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Respond to concerns with empathy and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, adhering to dress code standards.

Physical Demands:

The Caregiver/6 role requires the ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and exert 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical activity involves sitting, walking, standing, carrying, bending, lifting, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, talking, and repetitive motions.
