The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a long-term care setting. As a RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct resident assessments, identify care needs, and develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor resident progress, report changes, and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice, with multistate licensure accepted in NLC states.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
