Position Overview

The Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory Nurse is responsible for delivering direct care to adult and elderly patients. This role encompasses addressing the psychosocial, physical, and overall aspects of care within the surgical setting. Continuous communication with physicians regarding patient status is essential. The nurse will assist in maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring that the procedure room and equipment are functioning and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Procures necessary supplies for individual cases, ensuring that the Cardiovascular Laboratory team’s needs are met.
  2. Monitors physiological and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures conducted in the cardiovascular lab.
  3. Continuously observes and records patient conditions while they are in the Cardiovascular lab.
  4. Engages in performance improvement initiatives and continuous quality enhancement activities.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  2. Active Registered Nursing (RN) License in the state is required.
  3. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications upon hire and must be maintained.
  4. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care setting is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $47.23 to $63.49, with the exact starting salary determined during the hiring process, taking into account factors such as skills, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
