Job Summary

As a Nurse Liaison at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in creating a positive patient care experience by facilitating problem-solving and decision-making. Your expertise will ensure accuracy and timeliness in all functions related to insurance prior authorization, plan benefits, and medical necessity documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Patient Care: Greet, prepare, exit, and follow up with patients for providers according to established competency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to opportunities to improve employee and customer satisfaction, including self-development, continuing education, and achieving department objectives and goals.
  • Support and Collaboration: Provide support, both expected and directed, and collaborate with physicians and multi-disciplinary care teams for best care/results.
  • Revenue Optimization: Maintain accountability for maximizing revenue capture and growth while optimizing cost savings.
  • Quality Initiatives: Ensure accuracy of data collection and reporting for quality initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Apply the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs.
  • Accountability: Demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model and use the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to current and evolving health and nursing needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: No experience required.
Work Environment
