Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an OT with Soliant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and social growth within the educational setting. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive therapy services that empower students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique requirements, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on fine motor skills development, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques to enhance daily functioning and classroom performance.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure coordinated and effective interventions that support student success.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to address evolving needs and maximize outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest occupational therapy practices and educational strategies through ongoing professional development and training.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as school policies, to ensure ethical and compliant practice.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Certifications: CPR certification preferred; additional certifications related to school-based therapy or special education are a plus.
