Sterile Processing Manager

This position oversees the sterile processing department, ensuring the inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, distribution, transportation, decontamination, and storage of surgical instrument trays and supplies meet quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will lead the team in maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and guide sterile processing functions, including training, team huddles, and one-on-one coaching.
- Coordinate and oversee daily activities supporting the surgery schedule, collaborating with interdepartmental team members.
- Ensure adherence to sterilization, decontamination, and reprocessing standards.
- Approve and oversee policy/procedure revisions to maintain quality services and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain departmental staffing plans, detailing employee classifications and qualifications.
- Monitor department performance based on quality plans and customer/patient satisfaction data.
- Completion of CBSPD or CRCST within one year of hire required.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
- Work requires analytic ability to prioritize workload.
- Two years' experience in Instrument/Decontamination/Reprocessing Department preferred.
- 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
