Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Airport. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel's physical building structure, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems and equipment throughout the hotel.
  • Perform annual preventative maintenance on all HVAC units and chemically clean according to industry standards.
  • Document and maintain guest room and public area preservation procedures.
  • Provide quarterly maintenance summaries to the Chief Engineer.
  • Maintain guest room and public area electronic lock systems, including troubleshooting, programming, and replacing locks.
  • Maintain hotel laundry equipment and assist with guest room mattress rotation.
  • Service the hotel's pool and spa, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters according to health department regulations.
  • Complete daily maintenance logs and maintain the building exterior, including snow removal and lawn care.
  • Assist with annual tool inventory and key audits, and maintain accurate records of keys and their distribution.
  • Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Know and be able to explain emergency evacuation procedures and assist in daily safety training for associates.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Previous engineering experience required.
  • Necessary certification for HVAC and/or Electrical, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally.
