Job Title: Travel Nurse RN OB/GYN

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN OB/GYN to join our team in West Hollywood, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Travel Nurse RN OB/GYN to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Travel Nurse RN OB/GYN, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist and chaperone MDs with set-up, procedures, ultrasounds, pelvic exams, and post-procedure patient care.
  • Provide coverage for clinical assistants, LVNs, and coordinating clinic flow.
  • Review charts; prepare fee tickets; make follow-up calls to physician's offices, patients with results, and post-procedural calls.
  • Coordinate all infertility treatments from beginning to end with patients, physicians, and Assisted Reproductive Technology staff.
  • Coordinate all other aspects of patients' care such as: diagnostic testing, referrals, telephoning prescriptions or refills with physician's orders, and retrieving ordered test results.
  • Demonstrate extensive patient education face-to-face and over-the-phone regarding: program services offered, treatment details, patients' plan-of-care, multi-steps, up-coming treatment details, lab result interpretation, injection teaching, different diagnostic testing preparations, and pre-and post-operative teaching.
  • Perform Oral Glucose Tolerance, Adrenocorticoid Hormone testing, and phlebotomy as needed.
  • Communicate thoroughly to physicians and patients about abnormal lab results and proper follow up.
  • Daily follow up of ordered labs, especially those undergoing fertility treatments, and communicating to patients the appropriate treatment plan.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted California State RN License required.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with care coordination in a fertility practice preferred.
