Animal Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Feed and monitor the eating habits of our canine and feline residents
- Exercise and supervise communal playtimes to ensure our animals receive the physical and mental stimulation they need
- Bathe, dry, and assist the grooming department in providing a clean and comfortable environment for our animals
- Clean up urine and feces, maintaining the cleanliness of our boarding areas
- Disinfect indoor and outdoor spaces to prevent the spread of illness
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure seamless operations
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, sweeping, and mopping
- Provide tours to prospective clients and showcase our facility's amenities
- Assist with receptionist duties as needed
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be comfortable handling all breeds and sizes of cats and dogs
- Must be able to handle using disinfectants and cleaning up urine and feces
- Must be comfortable working in all outdoor conditions
- Must work well with people and animals
- Must have keen observation skills to notice an animal in discomfort
- Must be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 40 pounds
- Previous animal care experience is a plus, but not required
Most weekends and holidays are mandatory. We are a 7-day operation, and we require our team members to be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts.
