Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Nurse to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a Treatment Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of new admissions and re-admissions to identify potential skin issues and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement preventative measures to prevent pressure ulcers and other skin-related issues.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care.
  • Provide wound care and treatment as ordered by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of resident care.
  • Participate in wound care meetings and other departmental meetings to stay informed and share best practices.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident call lights and requests.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff.
  • Administer medications within the scope of practice.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current, valid LPN or RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems and provide education to residents and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and policies.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
