Human Anatomy Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Human Anatomy Faculty member to join our Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Saint Mary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching human anatomy and physiology courses, as well as serving as a laboratory assistant in the Human Anatomy Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, experience working with human cadavers, and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

• Plan, create, and deliver educational content for human anatomy and physiology courses
• Evaluate and revise curricula, course content, and teaching methods to ensure high-quality and relevant programs of study
• Assist in the preparation of semester schedules, selection of textbooks, and program planning
• Provide comprehensive advising to students, including course selection, degree planning, and career guidance
• Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities
• Collaborate with the Human Anatomy Lab Coordinator on the development of programming within the Human Anatomy Laboratory
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned

• A Master of Science degree in biology or a closely related discipline is required; Ph.D. or all but dissertation is preferred
• Ability to teach and work in person at the University of Saint Mary's main campus
• Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred
• Ability to maintain a stationary position for extended periods during dissections
• Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds and occasionally lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Competency in using Microsoft Office products
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in a diverse environment
