Rycon Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled construction estimator to work at our Cleveland office.

Our portfolio consists of various projects across different sectors, including health care, education, industrial/warehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, retail, financial, food service/dining, governmental, hospitality, cannabis, self-storage, and LEED facilities.

Our team excels in preconstruction planning, MEP expertise, with an experienced project team focused on multiple markets. We also have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships and installs nationally.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating quantities and costs of construction items for estimating projects, researching material, labor, and equipment pricing, participating in market condition research, and entering data into cost estimating software programs. Prior experience with multiple bid styles (Lump Sum, Competitive Bid, Cost Plus, Negotiated/GMP) is desirable.

Requirements
  • Minimum of five years' experience estimating commercial construction projects up to $20 million.
  • Experience in quantity take-offs, reading drawings, and interpreting specifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of the local Cleveland market is preferred but not required.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $100,000 - $150,000 per year based on industry standards and location. Rycon Construction offers an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), and 401(k).
