Position Summary

We prioritize inspiring students to become well-rounded, self-motivated learners rather than merely preparing them for standardized tests.

We believe in a holistic educational experience that considers all factors contributing to long-term student success. With a maximum of 18 students per classroom, our minimalist environment allows for safe exploration and maximizes your influence on each learner.

Nature exploration is a key component of our programming, alongside practical life skills such as cooking and gardening. Our teaching model emphasizes individualized instruction through small group work, minimizing interruptions and allowing students to engage meaningfully with their academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support our educational mission. The ideal candidate will assist and guide students in alignment with the Montessori philosophy.

The Paraprofessional will:

  • Engage with students in their learning environments, promoting integration and collaboration.
  • Utilize Montessori materials and curriculum to enhance the educational experience.
  • Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conduct assessments as needed.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain open communication with students and families.
  • Assist in lesson planning and deliver personalized instruction.
  • Foster a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Support the development of student-led conferences and lead IEP meetings.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications

Education: Paraprofessional Teaching License required.

Preferred Experience: 5 years in an educational setting, Montessori credential or experience is a plus.
