Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Reno Orthopedic Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images using our state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce radiographic images of patients' body parts;
  • Screen patients for MR safety, explain the MRI process, and address patient concerns prior to scanning;
  • Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure patient and staff safety;
  • Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label appropriately;
  • Document imaging performed, appropriate charges, and other necessary information in patients' electronic medical records and Patient Archive Communication System (PACS);
  • Maintain quality control measures in accordance with American College of Radiology guidelines;
  • Prepare radiology department daily, including cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
Requirements
  • Certifications/Education
    • MRI Technologist Certification through American Registry of Radiological Technologists;
  • Knowledge of
    • MRI and radiology safety procedures and protocols;
    • HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures;
  • Experience
    • Using computer systems and applications, including radiology software;
    • Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and other medical staff.
