Job Description Summary

As a Sales Associate at Rack Room Shoes, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and meeting sales and work goals. You will work closely with other team members to achieve common goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create an Excellent Shopping Experience
    • Be aware of and practice company service standards
    • Have a positive attitude, willingness to serve, and be well-informed
    • Provide sales and assistance to customers
    • Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives
  • Maintain Awareness of Sales Promotions
  • Maintain Merchandise Presentation
    • Ensure stock is well-arranged and merchandised properly
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store
  • Develop and Maintain Product Knowledge and Fitting Skills
  • Maintain Awareness of Loss Prevention Concerns
  • Participate in Physical Inventories and Assist with Shipping and Receiving
  • Process Sales and POS Terminal Transactions

Principal Working Relationships

Customers, Sales Associates, Store Management, and District/Regional Managers

Key Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts and all levels of employees
  • Basic communication, organization, and math skills
  • Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear
  • Basic knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards
