About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Simulation Engineer to join our Front-End Innovation team at Techtronic Industries North America. As a key member of our research and development arm, you will play a critical role in designing, modeling, simulating, and implementing innovative algorithms for our batteries, power electronics, and motors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various Engineering teams to design, model, simulate, and implement innovative algorithms for our products.
  • Extend and maintain simulation tools to enable the company to make informed decisions.
  • Work independently to identify innovative opportunities to enhance the capabilities of power tools.
  • Schedule, develop agendas for, facilitate, and document technical meetings and formal presentations.
  • Acquire knowledge and maintain an understanding of the company's development and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of related industry work experience OR MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in Matlab/Simulink model-based design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of plant models to simulate physical systems.
