Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat and Seafood Specialist to join our team at Big Y. This role involves preparing high-quality meat and seafood products, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the store.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • A strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and display fresh meat and seafood products in a visually appealing manner.
  2. Provide World Class customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  3. Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Operate and maintain equipment, machinery, and tools as needed.
  5. Participate in and encourage continuous improvement through ideas and innovation.
  6. Adhere to all government employment and labor regulations, Company policies, and procedures.
  7. Complete all training requirements by respective due dates.
  8. Ability to represent and support Big Y's Mission & Vision.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in the food industry or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
