Position Type: Full Time. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 3:00pm
Experience Required:
A minimum of one to two years in a baking role or relevant bakery experience is preferred. Familiarity with yeasts and pre-ferments is advantageous. Previous experience in food service is beneficial. A strong customer service orientation and a passion for working in a student-focused environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins, and assorted puddings.
- Unload, clean, and operate mixing equipment.
- Maintain daily production logs, sanitation records, and necessary documentation to ensure compliance with all procedures.
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean and ensuring a sanitary workspace.
- Adhere to all established HACCP sanitation and safety protocols.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Dependability and reliability are crucial.
Ability to create desserts from scratch is essential.
Develop and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Experience in production line baking or food processing is preferred.
Knowledge of proper food handling and safety practices is required.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Attention to detail with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and follow equipment and recipe instructions is necessary.
Compensation:
$12-$13
