As a Physical Therapist at Concentra, your responsibilities will include providing rehabilitative services for disabled, injured, and diseased patients within the center. You will align with our medical centers' injury process management, rehabilitation philosophy in occupational medicine, and relevant policies, practices, and regulations.


Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services
  2. Perform direct patient care, including evaluation of muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical problems
  3. Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment
  4. Ensure proper documentation of patient care
  5. Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
  6. Implement effective communication with own and other departments' staff, with medical staff, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high-quality service and optimal patient care
  7. Demonstrate effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  8. Inform Administrator of department problems, needs, and solutions in a timely manner
  9. Plan, design, implement, and interpret specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients to facilitate the patient's recovery and attainment of maximum physical potential
  10. Educate patients in the proper care and use of supports and performance of exercise programs
  11. Perform or delegate patient treatment to include modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy
  12. Follow appropriate documentation and reporting procedures
  13. Secure prescription for each patient treated
  14. Work closely with the physician to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care
  15. Assist marketing staff with tours as necessary
  16. Take all necessary precautions to protect center assets and property against loss or waste through negligence or dishonesty
  17. Participate in professional development by attending center meetings and outside educational seminars
  18. Communicate with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or the Case Manager for each patient
  19. Communication regarding the patient's objective progress, compliance with the program, compliance with attendance of scheduled appointments, the therapist's estimated time frame until discharged from therapy
  20. Participate in clinical instruction of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapist assistant students
  21. Participate with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process and assist in new and improved processes
  22. Ensure compliance with rules and regulations established by the relevant licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  2. Masters Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred
  3. Job-Related Experience
  4. Customarily a new graduate to at least five years of demonstrated experience in an orthopedic setting with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment
  5. Ortho-outpatient experience, preferred

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $87,482 to $115,107 annually depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.
