Pharmaceutical Specialist

King's Daughters seeks a highly skilled Retail Pharmacist to join our team. This role is responsible for dispensing medications, controlling prescription and non-prescription medicine, and coordinating clinical pharmacy activities in a retail pharmacy setting.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.
- Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
- Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
- Comply with state and federal drug laws by monitoring nursing unit inspections, maintaining records for controlled substances, removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory, supervising support personnel, and studying existing and new legislation.
