Job Overview

Insight Global is in search of a Senior Java Software Engineer to collaborate with one of our prominent automotive partners.

This role involves the ongoing support and development of innovative APIs for the Watch Dog initiative, as well as contributing to the creation of customized Slack applications and ensuring high-quality product development for APIs and their associated pipelines.

We value a collaborative team member with a constructive mindset, which is crucial for success in this position.

Compensation:
$60/hr to $70/hr

Compensation may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and educational background.


Benefit packages for this position will commence on the 31st day of employment and will include medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, as well as access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as mandated by applicable law.

Skills and Qualifications

- Proficient Java developer with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.

- Experience in developing distributed, service-oriented, microservices, and cloud-based solutions utilizing Java (Spring, OAuth, Swagger, etc.).

- Familiarity with industry-standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Unified/RUP).

- Comprehensive knowledge of relational and NoSQL database concepts, with experience in Oracle, MS SQL Server, or NoSQL databases.

- Strong skills in Angular JS / React JS or similar frameworks.

- Knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platform (Gradle, GitHub, Redis Cache), Google Cloud Platform, and mobile application development.

- Front-end development experience using design framework components.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
