Position Summary:

The final assembly team for wood products is tasked with ensuring the quality of all components and completing the assembly of assigned materials.

Supervisory Duties:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately constructs projects while adhering to time and budget constraints.
  • Utilizes various tools including saws, power tools, sanders, and hand tools to execute projects.
  • Shapes and prepares wood surfaces, constructing complete projects as specified.
  • Installs designated hardware and attaches cabinet doors to frames.
  • Finishes surfaces according to specifications through sanding, staining, and applying finishes.
  • Restores or refinishes cabinetry to meet established quality standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Proficient in precise measurement and skilled construction.
  • Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly accurate.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and light machinery.
  • Ability to adapt cabinetry around existing appliances.
  • Experience operating forklifts is advantageous.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity is required for product assembly.
  • Ability to interpret product bills of materials for accurate assembly.
