Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Zoom Drain Houston TX North. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water and drainage systems in designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Calls and Projects: Completes service calls and projects as assigned and dispatched by the company.
  • Structural Inspections: Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from pipe installation.
  • Pipe Installation: Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes.
  • Tightening Fittings: Cuts openings in walls and floors, as needed, to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
  • Cutting Pipe: Cuts and threads pipe.
  • Equipment Testing: Assembles and installs pipe fittings and pipes.
  • Customer Service: Completely and accurately tests installed equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order prior to departure from installation site.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provides a thorough explanation of equipment, its capabilities and operation to the customer; responds to all questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
  • Time Management: Accurately completes all necessary paperwork including but not limited to work orders, service orders, time logs and emergency information schedules.
  • Company Property:
  • Safety Procedures: Maintains control of all assigned company property and ensures that equipment is maintained in safe operating condition, at all times.
  • Vehicle Operations: Safely operates company vehicle and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Personal Conduct: Exhibits appearance and conduct in accordance with established company standards to present a professional image to customers and the general public.
  • Availability: When on call, ensures availability by telephone contact, at all times, for service calls.
  • Repairing Systems: Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent and caulks joints.
  • Pressure Tests: Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
  • Plumbing Fixtures: Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures.
  • Drain Repair: Repairs and maintains plumbing by mending pipes and opening clogged drains.
  • System Diagnostics: Locates and diagnoses problems with water and drainage systems.
  • Compliance: Ensures all work is completed in compliance with plumbing codes and good plumbing practices in accordance with company standards.
  • Supply Requisition: Requisitions supplies when necessary to complete jobs.
  • Safety Policies: Ensures that all applicable safety policies and guidelines are enforced and followed.
  • Maintenance: Maintains vehicle, tools, equipment, shop and work areas in the best possible condition for maximum production and safety.
  • Vehicle Sanitation: Keeps company vehicle clean and organized.
  • Driving Record: Maintains a clean driving record.
