Practical Nurse Care Specialist PRN

About the Job
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.
Responsibilities- Perform clinical responsibilities such as taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
- Manage patient charts, including collecting patient history, documenting EHR appropriately, and conducting regular chart audits.
- Apply splints, dressings, and bandages.
- Assist with check-in/check-out when needed, including auditing charts.
- Maintain records and logs on activities, including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
- Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
- Ensure the occupational client's preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional patient care and service.
- Collaborating with the RN and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality care.
- Managing patient charts and maintaining accurate records.
- Applying splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
- Assisting with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Maintaining records and logs on activities.
- Keeping patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing.
- A current Practical/Vocational nursing license in the state of residency.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
- Experience using an EHR system.
- The ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
- The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within three months of employment or promotion.
