Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective care while considering the holistic needs of patients.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and physiological assessments, adapting to evolving data.
- Customize care practices to meet individual patient needs, including cultural and ethical considerations.
- Collaborate in planning transitional healthcare needs, including treatment options.
- Ensure efficient care delivery by prioritizing immediate needs and resolving issues.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including preparation of sterile fields and handling of instruments.
- Administer medications, including moderate sedation, as directed by the physician.
- Operate and troubleshoot a variety of medical equipment, maintaining quality assurance records.
- Select appropriate instruments and supplies based on patient presentations during procedures.
- Delegate patient care activities to other healthcare team members as necessary.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent education in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology.
- Experience: One to three years in an interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or equivalent critical care experience.
- Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and registration in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, or licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
